Who We Are

At Beyond Foster, we believe no young adult should age out of foster care feeling forgotten, invisible, or unprepared for life. Too often, at just 18 years old, foster youth are handed a trash bag with their belongings and told they’re on their own—with no safety net, no guidance, and no place to turn. I founded Beyond Foster because I could no longer stand to watch sons and daughters of this system fall through the cracks—not because they lacked potential, but because they lacked the support and resources every young person deserves. Beyond Foster was born out of heartbreak and hope: heartbreak over the struggles these young adults face, and hope that we can create a place where their future is no longer defined by their past.

Every classroom we open, every skill we teach, and every meal we serve is more than just a service—it’s a lifeline. Beyond Foster is a family for the fatherless, a voice for the overlooked, and a light guiding the way to a brighter tomorrow. We don’t just prepare youth to survive; we equip them to thrive. With training in real-world skills, pathways to college and careers, and mentorship rooted in compassion, we restore confidence, dignity, and belief in what’s possible.
